Biography: Edward Y. Chan

Dr. Edward Y. Chan received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Hong Kong in 1987 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery with honors from the University of the Pacific in 1989. He received his certificate in endodontics and masters degree from the University of California, San Francisco in June of 2006.

Dr. Chan practiced general dentistry for 14 years before entering the UCSF Post Graduate Endodontic Program. He served as Dental Director of North East Medical Services (NEMS) from 1991 to 2003. Dr. Chan was also a Clinical Instructor at the UOP Department of Restorative Dentistry from 1989 to 2003.

Dr. Chan is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Francisco Dental Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honorary Fraternity, Tau Kappa Omega Honor Society in Dentistry and a board member of the NEMS Foundation. Dr. Chan is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
